Moscow. Here we come!
First off I would like to say Happy Birthday to Matt!
It's official.
We are moving to Moscow. It has been questionable the last few months so it is nice to know that we are going. Matt
will be working for BV, a development company based in Moscow. I don't know what day we are leaving yet, sometime
in mid-August. Riley will be attending the Anglo American Schooland classes start on August 21st, so we will need to be in Moscow and mostly over jet-lag by then. AAS is the same school
where Riley went to kindergarten. It is a great school and hopefully some of his friends will still be there.
He is looking forward to going back. It sounds like we will not be able to get into Pokrovsky Hills where we lived before.
So the four of us will be living in Matt's one bedroom apartment while we look for an apartment in the city. Hopefully
there will be a chance to get into Pokrovsky at some point.
Matt is still in Moscow because as the Moscow Club
Club Champion, Matt was invited to play in the Russian Openthis week. The Russian Open is the PGA European Tour event that comes to the Moscow Country Club each year. This
is a huge opportunity for him and he is really excited! He has started a journal and I will add it to this website
so everyone can follow him through the tournament. You can also watch the tournament on the Golf Channel this week.
I haven't really let all of this stuff settle in yet. I think when Matt finally comes
home this weekend and we start getting everything ready to go it will. I'm both nervous and excited to go.
It was such a great experience last time. I know it will be different this time but that everything will be
okay. I will update again soon once I know more.

Finally, an update
It's been awhile since I've updated our blog so I thought today
I would do that. It has been a crazy month. We had a great 4th of July with our friends and neighbors.
The day started with our community's 'Kids and Pets Parade'. All the kids in our neighborhood decorated
their bikes, stollers, wagons, etc. and rode them to the community park for a huge party. There were bouncy houses,
hot air balloon rides, pony rides and lots of food. Later in the afternoon the neighbors in our alley got together for
a potluck BBQ and we watched the guys set off fireworks in the park across the street. We all had a great time.
It was one of the best 4th of Julys I can remember.
Matt left the next day for Moscow and is still there.
While Matt's been in Moscow he has been spending alot of time playing in and WINNING golf tournaments!
Matt is now the Moscow Country Club's Club Champion for 2007. He is very excited! This is a tournament that he has wanted to win since
we lived there the first time. He also won the Russian Mid-Am and the AmCham (American Chamber of Commerce)
golf tournament. Did I mention that he did this after dislocating and fracturing his shoulder last month playing
soccer? It is hard for Matt to be away from the family but hopefully this makes up for it a little. We are all really
proud of him.
Riley, Megan and I are trying to keep busy while Matt is away. A couple weeks ago, I took
the kids and Riley's friend Will to the Seattle Aquarium. Riley has been going to soccer camp everyday for the past
couple of weeks. Next week he starts baseball camp. He told me yesterday that he's so tried that he didn't think
he could play baseball next week. He loves baseball so much that I'm sure he will find the energy. Megan is
walking now and getting into everything! She is at a fun stage right now but I'm not getting much done because
I'm trying to keep up with her. Matt will hopefully be home this next weekend so we are looking forward to that.
I will update the blog again soon. Everyone have a great week :)

Megan's first birthday
Matt is home (yeah!!) for Megan's first birthday and for Riley's last day of second
grade. I can't believe how fast the last year has flown by. Megan birthday was on Thursday. We didn't
do too much that day. She got a few presents in the morning and our PEPS group met at our house this week. What
better way than to spend your birthday with friends. Friday was my mom's birthday. It was a big one, but I
won't say which one :) So Saturday we had a party at our house for both birthday girls. It was great to have
all our family together to celebrate. Megan had such a great time! She woke up from a nap at 1:30 and was up until
everyone left about 5:30. We tried to put her down, but she was so wired and wanted to play with all her great presents.
She finally fell asleep at 7:00 and she was OUT. Sunday we went to Anderson Island where Matt's old boss
from Callison has a house. Matt had dislocated and has a hairline fracture in his sholder from playing soccer in Moscow
so he was taking it easy. He watched Megan while I played golf and kayaked with Riley. Thank you Steve and Janet
for having us out. We all had a great time. Megan wore herself out this week. After three days of partying,
she came home from Anderson Island with a temperature of 101.5. We went to the doctor today and she has an ear infection
:( Hopefully she will be rested up and better for the 4th when we start the party over again. Everyone have a
great 4th of July!
